Rotary International is a global network of 1.4 million united people who see a world where people come together and take action to bring about lasting change.
At the heart of our Charentais territory, the members of the Rotary club of Confolens, faithful to the motto of Rotary International "Serve first", are mobilizing in particular to support learning, by organizing every year, the chocolate fair in Etagnac and the unusual collections fair in Chabanais. The funds collected as part of these events are donated to the benefit of apprentices selected within Charente Limousine establishments.

Our programs
Serve first
Within the Rotary Club of Confolens Charente Limousine , we are all of good will, committed to the actors of our territory.
With the help of local establishments, we have chosen to prioritize supporting our youth by creating the Professional Education and Apprentices Prize.
We are also mobilized to locally relay the recurring actions of Rotary International, for example:
We support the Food Bank , at the entrance to stores in our area, every year, at the end of November
As part of the Espoir en tête action, we are organizing, in partnership with the cinemas in our villages, the preview screening of a film and are donating the funds to benefit research into the brain and brain diseases.
The eloquence competition, organized with the contribution of local schools, allows us to potentially reward young winners who speak in front of a jury, for 7 minutes without grade, on a motto chosen by our District.
Beyond these actions and many others, we remain open and attentive to serve first here and now.
Two flagship events
The Unusual Collections fair , which has taken place every year in spring for more than 20 years, and the Chocolate fair which is now traditionally held on the last weekend of November in Etagnac.
These two events enliven local life and successfully punctuate it thanks to the loyal support of exhibitors, traders and businesses in our region.
Thanks also to the generosity of visitors.
The funds collected during each event are entirely donated to the beneficiaries of our actions, and to the local associations who contact us.
An enthusiastic team
There are 13 of us!! women and men, active from all walks of life, united under the leadership of our President and supported by our families.
Our meetings are held every other Monday at 8:00 p.m. at our club headquarters, located 40 rue d'Angoulême in Chabanais.
Within our club, we respect the ethics of Rotary: with diligence and conviviality, each member offers his skills, his qualities, his relationships, to advance and promote our action.
